Role Description

The Head of Memberships & Strategic Partnerships is a senior leadership role responsible for driving membership growth, revenue generation, and strategic ecosystem partnerships across Asia Pacific. This role blends commercial leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic positioning, with full ownership of membership and sponsorship revenue targets.

You will lead efforts to expand APACMed’s influence, deepen member engagement, and position the organization as the premier platform for MedTech collaboration, policy engagement, and market access in APAC.

Key Responsibilities

1. Membership Growth & Revenue Ownership

Own and deliver membership revenue targets across all segments

Drive acquisition of new members, including MNCs, SMEs, digital health players, and startups

Develop and execute strategies to expand membership categories and strengthen value propositions

Lead upsell and cross-sell initiatives across membership tiers

2. Strategic Partnerships & Business Development

Build and manage senior-level relationships with MedTech companies, healthcare leaders, and ecosystem stakeholders

Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective members and partners across APAC

Convert strategic relationships into long-term commercial partnerships

Represent APACMed at key industry forums and engagements

3. Sponsorship & Flagship Event Revenue

Own and deliver sponsorship revenue targets for flagship events (e.g., MedTech Forum)

Design compelling sponsorship propositions aligned with partner objectives

Secure and manage multi-year sponsorship agreements

4. Member Retention & Engagement

Drive high member retention rates, especially among top-tier accounts

Ensure strong engagement through committees, working groups, and events

Act as a senior point of contact for key member organizations

5. Ecosystem & Startup Partnerships

Establish and manage partnerships within the startup and innovation ecosystem

Collaborate with regional organizations to strengthen APACMed’s network

Build scalable platforms connecting startups with corporates, investors, and policymakers

6. Value Proposition & Strategic Positioning

Continuously refine and articulate APACMed’s value proposition

Position APACMed as the leading industry platform for policy engagement and collaboration in APAC

Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and strategic initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

10+ years of experience in MedTech, healthcare, life sciences, or related sectors

Proven track record of owning and delivering significant revenue targets

Strong network across APAC healthcare and MedTech ecosystem

Demonstrated success in partnerships, business development, or industry platforms

Experience engaging C-suite stakeholders and regional decision-makers

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills

Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
