Activa Media is looking for an experienced SEO & GEO Lead to drive our search optimisation strategies across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search platforms.

In this role, you will lead the planning, execution and optimisation of SEO and GEO campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients, in particular the healthcare industry.

You will oversee SEO and GEO campaign performance, provide strategic direction to the team, and identify opportunities to improve clients' organic search rankings, online visibility and presence in AI-generated search results.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical SEO and GEO expertise, analytical thinking and leadership capabilities with a forward-looking understanding of how AI is transforming search.

Key Responsibilities 1. SEO & GEO Strategy

• Proactively develop, test and oversee comprehensive SEO and GEO strategies aligned with clients' business objectives and industry landscapes.
• Lead keyword research, search intent analysis, competitor benchmarking and content gap assessments.
• Identify opportunities to improve visibility across Google Search, AI Overviews and AI-powered platforms such as ChatGPT and Gemini.
• Develop SEO and GEO strategies covering technical optimisation, content structure, topical authority, entity optimisation, brand visibility and AI citations.
• Stay updated on algorithm updates, emerging AI search trends and best practices.

2. Campaign Management & Performance

• Provide strategic direction to the team on campaign priorities, corrective actions and opportunities for further growth.
• Proactively address underperforming campaigns, troubleshoot underlying issues and guide the team in developing appropriate solutions.
• Establish performance benchmarks, monitoring frameworks and quality standards to ensure consistent and effective execution.
• Drive continuous improvements in the team's analytical capabilities, strategic recommendations and overall campaign effectiveness.

3. Technical SEO & Website Optimisation

• Lead technical SEO and GEO audits and recommend improvements to website architecture, crawlability, indexability and overall site health.
• Provide strategic guidance on technical elements and on-page optimisation.
• Ensure best practices are incorporated into website development and revamp projects.

4. Team Leadership & Quality Assurance

• Lead, mentor and guide the team to maintain high standards of campaign execution.
• Delegate responsibilities, manage team workloads and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Review and improve audits, optimisation proposals, campaign strategies and performance reports.
• Establish and improve internal workflows, processes and quality assurance standards.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing to strengthen the team's technical expertise, analytical capabilities and understanding of SEO and GEO.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Client Strategy

• Work closely with SEO/GEO Specialists, Account Executives, Content Team, and Web Developers to ensure effective campaign delivery.
• Provide sound recommendations and technical guidance to support client discussions, campaign reviews and business proposals.
• Translate complex SEO and GEO findings into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Support pitches, audits and strategic presentations for prospective clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of hands-on SEO/GEO experience, including experience in a senior or team leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page and off-page SEO, content strategy and search engine algorithms.
• Familiarity with GEO, AI-powered search platforms, AI Overviews and emerging search optimisation practices.
• Experience building SEO/GEO reporting frameworks, campaign processes and performance dashboards.
• Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and develop actionable strategies.
• Good communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop team members.
