Responsibilities

Stock Operations

• Coordinate daily receiving and issue records, ensuring all stock movements are logged accurately in the inventory system.
• Perform regular cycle counts and full stock takes, investigate variances, and record adjustments with clear notes.
• Monitor material handling and storage practices to protect stock condition and location accuracy.
• Support warehouse staff on stock disposition, returns, and transfer documentation.

Financial Reconciliation & Reporting

• Reconcile physical stock to the general ledger each month and explain discrepancies to finance management.
• Prepare inventory valuation worksheets using appropriate costing methods and submit data for month-end close.
• Assist with audit requests by providing stock reports, movement histories, and supporting documents promptly.
• Maintain accurate stock ledgers and ensure cost codes and item classifications are consistent.

Process & Systems

• Keep ERP records up to date, create stock master entries, and help improve system workflows for accuracy.
• Implement simple checks and templates to reduce recurring errors and speed reconciliations.
• Train colleagues on correct inventory entries and basic stock control procedures to improve team compliance.
• Support ad hoc projects that improve stock visibility and reporting timeliness.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in inventory, stock control, or finance-related roles within trading or warehouse environments.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working in a trading environment, handling high-value or fast-moving items is an advantage.
• Availability to join full-time and participate in periodic stock takes as scheduled.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Strong inventory management knowledge, including stock control, stock ledger maintenance, and material handling best practices.
• Proficient in MS Excel for reconciliations and reporting, including pivot tables and basic formulas.
• Practical experience with ERP systems for stock transactions, stock master data, and reporting.
• Basic understanding of inventory valuation methods and month-end close processes.
