We are seeking an experienced Internal Forward Deployed Engineer to collaborate with internal product and delivery teams, transforming complex problems into effective software solutions that address real user needs.

Responsibilities

• Embed with internal teams to understand workflows, constraints, and success criteria.
• Design, build, test, and deliver end-to-end features based on clarified requirements.
• Integrate internal tools and APIs, and resolve issues identified during real-world use.
• Produce clear technical notes, demos, and handover documentation for both recruiters and engineers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define scope, evaluate trade-offs, and plan rollouts.

Requirements

Must-have:

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years building and deploying software in production.
• Applicants must already be in Malaysia (Malaysian or expat) for a face-to-face interview. Applicants outside Malaysia will not be considered.
• Strong skills in Python or TypeScript.
• Strong skills in REST APIs.
• Strong skills in SQL.
• Comfort working on-site or hybrid with non-technical stakeholders.
• Clear written and spoken communication.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience integrating internal tools and APIs.
• Experience with TypeScript-based backend frameworks (e.g. Node.js, Express).
