Unix Admin/Engineer

Location: KL, Malaysia

• Up to 3 years of professional experience. 

• Provide L1 / L2 support for incidents – resolve issues and escalate critical problems to senior 

administrators. 

• Essential knowledge of AIX and/or Solaris administration and virtualization concepts (LPAR / Solaris 

Zones & Kernel Zones). 

• Perform health checks and proactively monitor systems for performance, stability and availability. 

• Independently install, configure and manage software packages in production, following organizational 

processes. 

• Basic scripting (e.g. shell) to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency. 

• Maintain and update detailed system configuration documentation for audit and operational purposes. 

• Operational support for x86 / SPARC servers running Solaris and IBM Power servers running AIX. 

• Contribute to operational architecture and propose improvements in system design and infrastructure 

management.
