Job Description
Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and oversee the overall electrical works for projects.
Review project specifications and prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment and systems.
Technically evaluate suppliers’ proposals and equipment submissions.
Guide designers in preparing Single Line Diagrams and review subcontractors’ Field Engineering Drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications and applicable local and international codes.
Manage and supervise subcontractors and site supervisors in the execution of electrical construction works through regular site visits and coordination meetings.
Coordinate proactively with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper interface and avoid design or construction conflicts.
Liaise with clients’ engineers, supervisors, and professional engineers to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure electrical works meet the required quality, safety, and engineering standards.
Requirements
Recognised Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the chemical engineering industry.
Hands-on experience with 22kV and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems is required.
Good knowledge of Singapore electrical codes, regulations, and engineering practices.
Familiarity with relevant local and international engineering codes and standards.
Mature, proactive, and possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple project requirements effectively.
Willing to work additional hours based on project requirements.
Candidates with more extensive relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.
