Job and Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Installation and Site Supervision

• Supervise electrical installation works, including power distribution systems, cabling, cable trays, switchgear, transformers, and electrical equipment.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and technical specifications.
• Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Verify installation works against approved drawings and applicable electrical codes.

2. Testing and Commissioning

• Perform and coordinate electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning activities.
• Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, and other relevant electrical tests.
• Support functional testing of electrical panels, motors, protection systems, and distribution equipment.
• Prepare testing and commissioning reports and ensure outstanding issues are resolved before handover.

3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

• Identify, investigate, and resolve electrical faults and equipment failures.
• Provide technical support for site electrical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Analyse equipment performance and recommend improvements to system reliability.

4. Project Coordination and Documentation

• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor site progress against project schedules and report delays or technical issues.
• Prepare daily site reports, inspection and test reports, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Assist with material inspection, technical submittals, as-built drawings, and project handover documents.

5. Safety and Quality Compliance

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and identify electrical hazards and unsafe working conditions.
• Ensure work complies with applicable local regulations, standards, and project requirements.
• Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) inspections and close out non-conformance reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in electrical installation, field engineering, testing, commissioning, or maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, protection systems, and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical standards, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work in site-based environments.

Pay: RM4,100.00 - RM5,500.00 per month

Experience:

• Data centre: 2 years (Preferred)
