Full Time Senior Manager, SAP Jobs, in Daikin Malaysia Selangor - Maukerja

1. Job Purpose

Lead the SAP Applications section and set the direction of the SAP landscape that supports DAMA Group companies. The role leads the in-house functional and technical teams, governs SAP vendors and service partners, and ensures SAP remains stable, secure and aligned with business priorities. The role also owns the platform lifecycle and modernization roadmap.

2. Key Responsibilities

a) SAP Strategy and Platform

1. Define and execute the SAP roadmap in line with ITS and Group business objectives, covering platform lifecycle, infrastructure refresh and SAP S/4HANA readiness.
2. Ensure the stability, performance, availability and scalability of the SAP landscape across Group companies.
3. Drive continuous improvement, standardization and automation of business processes on SAP.

b) Team Leadership

1. Lead, coach and develop SAP functional specialists, ABAP developers and support staff.
2. Plan resources and workload, set objectives and conduct performance reviews for team members.
3. Build team resilience through documentation, knowledge transfer, cross-training and succession planning.

c) Project Delivery and Vendor Management

1. Lead SAP project delivery in coordination with the ITS PMO, covering scope, budget, timeline and quality.
2. Manage SAP vendors and service partners, including SLAs, contract performance, man-day utilization and cost control.
3. Oversee integrations between SAP and third-party systems (e.g., e-Invoice, e-Asset).

d) Functional and Technical Oversight

1. Provide subject-matter guidance across SAP modules (FICO, SD, MM, PP) and technical areas (ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, Fiori).
2. Act as design authority: review and approve functional and technical designs, and control changes to the production environment.

e) Governance, Security and Compliance

1. Own SAP access governance, including role design, user authorization and segregation of duties, in line with Group ISMS policies.
2. Ensure compliance with J-SOX, ISMS and applicable company policies; support internal and external audits and close SAP-related findings.
3. Identify and manage risks and issues in SAP operations and projects.

f) Stakeholder Management

1. Act as the main point of contact on SAP matters for senior management, business units and Group affiliates.
2. Communicate technical matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including regional and Japan HQ counterparts.

g) General

1. Promote safety, health, environmental and quality awareness within the team.
2. Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

3. Key Accountabilities

• Stable and secure SAP operations that support business continuity across Group companies.
• SAP projects and enhancements delivered within agreed scope, budget, timeline and quality.
• Effective governance of SAP vendors and changes to the production environment.
• Timely closure of SAP-related audit findings and adherence to ISMS controls.
• A capable, well-documented SAP team with clear succession coverage.

4. Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Experience

• At least 12 years of SAP experience covering implementation and support, including at least 5 years leading SAP teams.
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale SAP projects and managing SAP vendors or outsourced support.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong functional knowledge of FICO, SD, MM and PP, and an understanding of cross-module integration.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, ABAP, Fiori and SAP integration with external systems.
• Good understanding of SAP security, authorization concepts and IT general controls.

Competencies

• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

5. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with Japanese organizations or stakeholders.
• SAP certification in a relevant module, and/or a project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration or platform upgrade projects.
