SteelWater Insights is a Singapore-based crypto information service. Every morning at 6.30am SGT, we publish a five-minute, plain-English brief on what happened in the crypto market overnight and what it means, written for busy working professionals in Singapore and the region. We do not promote coins or hype, and we do not give financial advice.

We are a small team growing our readership, and we are looking for a Community Lead to help more people in Singapore discover and trust what we do.

Role Description

• Build and engage the SteelWater community, as the friendly and knowledgeable face of the brand to our readers
• Take part in relevant online conversations about crypto and personal finance, giving helpful, accurate information and always being transparent that you represent SteelWater
• Moderate our community spaces: welcome new members, answer questions, and keep out spam and scams
• Identify and build partnerships with like-minded creators, publications and organisations in Singapore and the region
• Gather reader questions and feedback, and share them with the content team
• Track community growth and engagement, and prepare a short weekly report
• Support communications during major market events, when readers need clear information most

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret user data, track growth metrics, and inform evidence-based experiments.
• Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms and collaborate across teams.
• At least 5 years of experience with growth hacking techniques, including experimentation, funnel optimization, and data-driven user acquisition and retention.
• Sales-related skills to support subscriber conversion, upsell initiatives, and relationship-building with partners and potential customers.
• Project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor growth initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
• At least 6 years of familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., email platforms, analytics dashboards, social media) and basic understanding of subscription or SaaS business models.
• Interest in crypto markets and macro trends, with the ability to remain objective and avoid promotional or advisory language.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach to testing new ideas and learning from results.
