Senior Programme Lead (Insurance and running programs across regions at scale are essential)

· Our client is expanding its global capability centre, increasing the range of technology services it delivers and extending its reach across multiple international markets. The programme will significantly broaden the engineering, support and specialist capability available to our businesses

· Therefore, we are seeking a Programme Lead to take end-to-end ownership of the initiative, including scope, budget, benefits realisation, timeline, risk management, governance, and reporting to senior leadership.

· The role will also be responsible for managing day-to-day engagement with internal technology teams, the capability centre, and finance stakeholders.

· This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong programme delivery expertise, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence senior leaders in complex environments. The successful candidate will be expected to drive programme outcomes, navigate and resolve challenges, and represent the programme at executive leadership forums

· Own programme scope, cost, benefits and timeline across all markets in the programme.

· Work with Group Finance to build and challenge the financial model, and hold the programme to a defensible benefits position.

· Run programme governance: forums, cadence, decision rights, escalation and reporting.

· Map dependencies across markets, technology teams and the capability centre, uncover risks early and actively mitigate them, and judge what needs to be escalated to sponsors.

· Define the migration approach jointly with each market, covering sequencing, transition design and service continuity.

· Lead and coordinate the Market Delivery Leads, making sure markets move on a consistent approach.

· Work alongside our internal technology teams to set the guardrails the programme delivers against, including technical and engineering standards.

· Track delivery against gates and make sure markets are assessed on a consistent basis. • Produce papers and reporting for senior leadership and executive audiences.

· 12+ years of experience in technology delivery, transformation or programme leadership.

· Programme management at scale across multiple countries, with financial targets attached. Ideally you have led a programme end to end, not just a workstream within one.

· Commercial and financial capability. You can build, interrogate and defend a business case, and are comfortable challenging a finance model, not just using one.

· Technology transition and migration experience, including moving engineering or application support between delivery locations. Enough technical grounding to engage credibly on architecture and engineering standards.

· Experience in a global capability centre, global business services or shared services environment.

· Credibility with senior stakeholders, including CIO or CTO level.

· Strong written communication, since much of the output is read without you present.
