We are looking for an AS400 / COBOL Developer to support the development, maintenance and enhancement of banking applications. The role involves working on existing systems, resolving technical issues and ensuring reliable application performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance applications using COBOL on the AS400 / IBM i platform.
- Support existing banking applications and perform program modifications based on business requirements.
- Analyse technical issues, troubleshoot errors and provide timely resolutions.
- Work with DB2 databases, SQL queries and batch processing jobs.
- Perform unit testing, system testing and production support activities.
- Prepare technical documentation and support system changes and deployments.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams and other technical stakeholders.
- Ensure application stability, data accuracy and compliance with established development standards.
Requirements
- Experience in AS400 / IBM i application development.
- Strong knowledge of COBOL programming.
- Familiarity with DB2, SQL and batch processing.
- Experience in application maintenance, debugging and production support.
- Understanding of SDLC, testing and change management processes.
- Banking or financial services experience is an advantage.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
