About Polymateria

Polymateria’s mission is to advance science to help nature deal with the plastic pollution crisis. Based at Imperial College London, they are the first company in the world to prove scientifically that you can take the most likely sources of fugitive or unmanaged plastic waste and return them to nature without creating microplastics, harming the natural environment or interfering with recycling streams at scale.

The Role

Polymateria is scaling its global operations and is looking for an experienced supply chain leader to take on the role of VP Supply Chain. Reporting to the COO, you will combine strategic leadership with hand-on execution, delivering end-to-end value chain support for existing customers while transforming our operational framework into a world-class ecosystem capable of enabling rapid business growth.

This position is a key hire in the company’s plan to accelerate growth, requiring a hands-on, entrepreneurial, and creative individual who understands the complexity of the plastics/packaging business landscape. With a purpose to create a resilient, customer-focused supply chain, this role requires a strategic thinker and creative problem solver who can scale a business without compromising on quality or performance.

The position will be based remotely, working globally, with locations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia being considered depending on capability.

You will join the business at a crucial time, as we solidify our existing customer base and expand into new markets. As a key partner to the executive team, and part of the extended leadership team, you will work with stakeholders across the value chain, from manufacturing partners and raw material suppliers to global brand owners, and investors. The successful candidate must be able to influence at a high level, align competing priorities, and convert strategic objectives into coordinated operational action.

·      Optimize international freight, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery to minimize costs and ensure speed

·      Select and implement ERP, planning and visibility tools, that enable supply chain efficiency, traceability and reporting of metrics at executive and board level

Experience:
