Role Overview:

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing Requirements Management, Configuration Management and Change Management activities across rail system projects. The role involves ensuring that project requirements are accurately captured, documented, allocated and tracked, while maintaining configuration baselines and effective change control throughout the project lifecycle. The incumbent will also support Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities, ensuring proper requirements traceability, configuration compliance and alignment with relevant project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements

Job Description

• Develop, implement and maintain processes for requirements traceability, configuration control and change management throughout all project phases.
• Lead the capture, documentation and management of project requirements, ensuring proper allocation, validation and closure.
• Establish, maintain and oversee configuration records, baselines and audit trails for systems, technical documentation and project deliverables.
• Manage the evaluation, review and implementation of proposed changes, ensuring potential impacts on project cost, schedule and scope are properly assessed and controlled.
• Provide requirements traceability and configuration management inputs to Testing & Commissioning activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Oversee the preparation of reports and supporting documentation for audits, reviews and assessments relating to requirements management, configuration control and change management.
• Work closely with engineering, assurance and project management teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards, project requirements and overall project objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Malaysian citizen.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the rail industry, preferably involving urban rail, metro or LRT projects.
• Prior experience in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in requirements management and configuration management tools, such as DOORS, ComplyPro, TeamBinder or equivalent platforms.
• Possess strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Employment Type:

• 1-Year contract, with an opportunity for renewal depending on the company’s future direction.
