Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.

Possess 1-2 years of hands-on experience in sea import operations within the freight forwarding industry.

Proficient in handling import documentation, including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.

Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and requirements for sea freight imports into Malaysia.

Strong understanding of Incoterms and their application in international trade.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, shipping lines, airlines, and customs authorities.

Demonstrated ability in time management and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage due to the nature of international trade and client base.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.

High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation and operational processes.

Commitment to providing excellent customer service and resolving client inquiries promptly.

Manage and coordinate all aspects of sea import operations, from booking shipments with carriers to ensuring timely delivery to the customer's doorstep.

Prepare and process all necessary import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Liaise with customs brokers and relevant authorities to facilitate smooth customs clearance for all inbound sea freight shipments.

Track and trace shipments in real-time, providing proactive updates to customers and addressing any potential delays or issues.

Communicate effectively with overseas agents, shipping lines, trucking companies, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of import processes.

Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service, resolving any problems or concerns related to sea import shipments.

Maintain accurate records of all import transactions, including costs, revenues, and operational data, for reporting and analysis purposes.

Identify opportunities for process improvement within sea import operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations, company policies, and industry best practices for sea import forwarding.
