Job Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Core Banking Developer with 3–5 years of experience in Deposits and Payment Systems development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RPG programming on the AS400 platform and a strong understanding of core banking operations, particularly in Deposits, Local Payments, and Bill Payments. The role involves developing, enhancing, testing, and supporting mission-critical banking applications while ensuring code quality, system stability, and compliance with banking standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Core Banking applications using RPG on the AS400 platform.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions for deposit and payment-related systems.
• Support and maintain Local Payment and Bill Payment functionalities within the banking ecosystem.
• Develop and optimize programs and database interactions using DB2.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.
• Support system testing, UAT activities, deployment, and post-production support.
• Ensure system security, performance, and regulatory compliance requirements are met.

Required Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience in Core Banking application development.
• Strong hands-on experience in RPG programming.
• Experience working with AS400 operating system and DB2 database.
• Knowledge of Deposit products and banking operations.
• Experience in Local Payments and Bill Payment processing.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Cash Management / Rate Provision
• GIRO Processing
• Instant Payment Systems
• Strong experience conducting and participating in code reviews.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Remittance systems and payment processing.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with ALDON for application lifecycle management and deployment automation on AS400.
• Experience with ARCAD tools for change management and DevOps automation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Understanding of banking regulations and payment ecosystem standards.
