Full Time Site Quantity Surveyor Jobs, in Exal Malaysia Sarawak - Maukerja

Take ownership of site-based cost and contract matters, working closely with the project team to keep costs, claims and commercial documentation on track from construction through completion.

• Handle day-to-day quantity surveying and commercial matters on site.
• Prepare and verify measurements, quantities and progress of works.
• Prepare, review and follow up on progress claims, variation orders and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims and verify work completed against actual site progress.
• Monitor project costs, commitments and variations against approved budgets.
• Assist with procurement, quotation comparison and subcontractor/supplier evaluation.
• Maintain proper records for contracts, claims, variations, measurements and commercial documentation.
• Work closely with Project Director, Managers, Engineers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors to resolve site and commercial matters.
• Conduct site measurements and ensure quantities are properly recorded and supported.
• Identify potential cost implications and variations early, and highlight them to the project team.
• Support final account preparation and closing of subcontract packages.
• Ensure QS matters are followed through from identification to documentation and closure.

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant QS experience, preferably in building construction or property development.
• Good understanding of measurement, progress claims, variation orders and subcontractor claims.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Comfortable working on site and closely with the construction team.
• Good numerical, analytical and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS/project tools.
• Organised, commercially aware and strong in follow-through.
• Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with different project stakeholders.
