Job Description

Responsibilities

Position: Senior Finance Analyst / Business Finance Analyst

Location: Kuala Lumpur


Job Purpose

To support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, collaborate with business leaders, and provide financial insights to improve business performance, cost efficiency, and financial decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial reports for management and Group reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate revenue, expenses, and cost allocations.
  • Conduct cost-benefit assessments to support business initiatives and financial decisions.
  • Manage internal cost allocations, reconciliations, recharges, and periodic true-up adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts, management reports, and quarterly financial submissions.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Monitor operating expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and financial policies.
  • Support financial process improvements, audit requirements, and tax-related documentation.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to provide financial analysis and operational insights.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by management.


Education & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or FP&A.
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and management reporting.
  • Experience in expense management, cost allocation, reconciliations, and true-up processes.
  • Knowledge of cost productivity and volume productivity analysis.
  • Experience handling financial audits and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working within a matrix organisational structure.
  • Previous experience in Shared Services Centre (SSC) or BPO environments is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel.
  • Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
