Full Time Senior Legal Counsel, APAC | Financial Services Jobs, in Taylor Root - Maukerja

Taylor Root is partnering with an established international financial services organisation to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel, APAC, based in Singapore.

This is a senior, hands-on role providing legal support to a growing business across the APAC region. The successful candidate will work closely with senior business stakeholders and global legal colleagues, advising across a broad range of legal, regulatory and transactional matters.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice to business stakeholders across APAC
• Advise on matters relating to financial markets, brokerage, trading and derivatives
• Draft and negotiate client, trading and commercial agreements
• Support new products, business initiatives and cross-border matters
• Advise on regulatory, governance and legal risk matters
• Manage disputes and external counsel where required
• Partner closely with Compliance, Risk and other business functions

We are looking for:

• An experienced qualified lawyer with strong in-house financial services experience
• Exposure to derivatives, securities, brokerage, trading, capital markets and/or commodities
• Strong understanding of the Singapore/APAC regulatory environment
• Ability to independently manage matters and advise senior stakeholders
• Commercial, pragmatic and comfortable working in a broad, hands-on role
• Singapore qualification or strong familiarity with the Singapore regulatory environment would be advantageous
