Role Description

The QA Engineer / Software Test Engineer / Test Automation Engineer helps deliver reliable software by identifying defects and verifying that applications meet agreed requirements. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, planning tests, preparing test data, investigating failures, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

The QA Engineer supports quality practices across delivery. The Software Test Engineer focuses on functional, integration, and regression testing, while the Test Automation Engineer develops automated test frameworks and integrates tests into build and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation appropriate to the position.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles, test design, defect management, and risk-based testing.
• Ability to create clear test cases, prepare test data, and document reproducible defects.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, databases, or mobile applications as relevant.
• Familiarity with SQL, version control, issue tracking, and test management tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for investigating failures and working with development teams.
• For QA positions, ability to identify quality risks and improve testing practices throughout delivery.
• For software test positions, experience conducting exploratory, functional, integration, and regression testing.
• For automation positions, proficiency in a programming language and experience building maintainable automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
