At aLife, we walk alongside women and families navigating unplanned pregnancies, offering counselling, emotional support and practical assistance. We believe in restoring hope, upholding dignity and empowering individuals to move forward with confidence.

We are looking for a passionate and committed Social Worker to join our team!

️ 1. Casework and Counselling

• Provide casework and counselling to women and families facing unplanned pregnancies.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments using the Biopsychosocial-Spiritual (BPSS) and 4Ps frameworks.
• Undertake financial assessments and develop individualised intervention plans.
• Provide case management, referrals and follow-up support.

2. Hotline Management

• Manage and respond to aLife's hotline enquiries.
• Provide initial emotional support, identify clients' needs and assess urgency.
• Facilitate appropriate referrals and follow-up for individuals seeking assistance.

3. Hospital and Community Outreach

• Engage with hospitals, including KKH and NUH, and community partners to facilitate referrals and support for clients.
• Build collaborative relationships with social service agencies and community stakeholders.
• Participate in outreach activities and community engagement initiatives.

4. Groupwork and Therapy Support

• Work collaboratively with aLife's counselling and therapy team in supporting groupwork therapy sessions and therapeutic programmes.
• Assist in the planning, coordination and facilitation of group activities and psychoeducational programmes.
• Support the development of programmes that promote emotional well-being, resilience and family relationships.

What We Are Looking For:

• Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work, or a degree in a related discipline with relevant casework experience.
• At least 1–2 years of working experience in a social service setting.
• Experience in a Family Service Centre (FSC) or in supporting women and families facing unplanned pregnancies will be an advantage.
• Good assessment, case management and counselling skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, resourceful and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to undertake hotline duties, community outreach and support groupwork initiatives.
