Full Time Commis Jobs, Salary up to MYR 2,300 + overtime in Zaques Hotel (M) WP Kuala Lumpur - Maukerja

Minimum SPM or Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Preparation or related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in hotel, restaurant or banquet kitchen operations. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation and kitchen operations.

Familiar with food safety, hygiene and proper food handling procedures.

Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle large-scale banquet operations.

Good teamwork, discipline and time management skills.

Willing to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Malaysian citizens only.

Assist the Chef de Partie and senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.

Prepare ingredients, including cutting, chopping, marinating and portioning.

Cook and prepare dishes according to standard recipes, quality and presentation standards.

Assist in preparing breakfast, buffet, à la carte, wedding and banquet meals.

Ensure all mise en place is completed according to daily event schedules.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, chillers, freezers and storage areas.

Follow food safety, hygiene, temperature control and proper food handling procedures.

Assist in receiving, storing, labelling and rotating ingredients according to FIFO practices.

Monitor food quality, portion control and minimise food wastage.

Support the kitchen team during high-volume events and peak operational hours.

Report equipment defects, food quality issues and stock shortages to the supervising chef.

Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Head Chef or supervisor.
