Position : Cloud Pre-sales Engineer

Location : Kuala Lumpur

Job Summary

The Pre-sales Engineer supports the sales team in winning new business by turning customer needs into clear, accurate cloud proposals. Working alongside Business Development through the sales cycle, from technical discovery and demos to proposals and handover, this role makes sure customers get the right solution and that company quotes with confidence. The role also drives company’s AWS MSP and Competency programs.

Job Responsibilities

· Partner with Business Development on qualified opportunities to run technical discovery, covering workloads, usage, migration and compliance requirements.

· Prepare solution proposals, bills of materials and cost estimates across AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Azure, GCP and other partner clouds.

· Deliver product demos, technical presentations and proof-of-concepts that help customers make buying decisions.

· Respond to the technical sections of RFPs, RFIs and customer security questionnaires.

· Conduct cloud billing health checks and cost optimization reviews that open new sales opportunities.

· Work with vendor partner teams on complex architecture, migration or managed services requirements, and ensure a smooth handover to delivery.

· Drive the AWS MSP and Competency programs: prepare documentation and evidence, align internal processes with program requirements, collect customer case studies, and coordinate audits and renewals.

· Support the build-out of OneCloud’s managed services, including service catalogue, delivery standards and operating procedures required for MSP validation.

· Equip Inside Sales and Business Development with product knowledge and FAQs, and keep technical notes in the CRM up to date.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· 2–4 years of experience in technical pre-sales, cloud support, systems engineering, or another customer-facing technical role.

· Working knowledge of core cloud services (compute, storage, networking, databases, security) and cloud billing models.

· AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate) is an advantage; candidates are expected to obtain AWS Solutions Architect Associate during probation.

· Exposure to AWS partner programs (MSP, Competency, Service Delivery) or audit documentation is a strong advantage; organised and detail-oriented with documentation-heavy projects.

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
