Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, guidelines and instructions provided by the Main Chef.

• Submit food requisitions as required.

• Assist with butchery and food preparation.

• Assist with pot washing and cleaning of kitchen equipment.

• Maintain general cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen.

• Maintain inventory controls based on the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principle.

• Assist in implementing food safety management procedures.

• Follow kitchen operating procedures and food safety requirements.

• Handle kitchen supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 kg where required.

• Work on Christmas Day and public holidays as required.

• Be available to start work at 5:00 AM.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as an Assistant Cook or Cook.

• Good food preparation and cooking skills.

• Motivated and willing to learn.

• Good attention to detail.

• Able to work independently and follow instructions.
