The Systems Test Engineer will be responsible for evaluation of value engineering efforts on current products and achieving strategic quality goals following the launch of new developments (NPIs) and existing products. Key responsibilities will include working with the team to drive business stakeholders’ priorities participating in plans to successfully support all active products in the areas of cost reduction, supply chain support, and participate in design for in-sourcing projects with key technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for providing evaluation results through verification and validation activities to ensure proper performance, long-termstability, reliability, robustness, and customer usability for Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects across PerkinElmer products, including Mass Spectroscopy, ICP-OES, and GC products.
• Lead and support VAVE activities, including technical evaluation, testing, validation, and implementation of cost-reduction and value-engineeringopportunities while maintaining product quality, performance, and reliability.
• Responsible for system-level testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of customer-returned instruments and components, including RMA and DOA cases. Investigate reported issues, identify root causes, validate corrective actions, and provide technical recommendations to improve product quality and reliability.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) transfer activities from development into production, including verification of product performance, test requirements, test methods, and readiness of test stations and processes to ensure a smooth transition to manufacturing.
• Work closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and other cross-functional teams to support product development, product transfer, cost reduction, quality improvement, and customer issue resolution.
• Log, track, and maintain records of defects, test results, investigation findings, and corrective actions, ensuring issues are properly documented and followed through to closure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years analytical instrumentation experience
• Statistical analysis capabilities a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; requires interaction with managers, supervisors, engineers in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
