Responsibilities

Company Description

UNILEVER is seeking an experienced Performance Media Lead to take ownership of high-budget digital advertising across Meta and Google. This is a fully remote, full-time leadership position focused on performance, growth, profitability, and scalable customer acquisition.

Role Description

The Performance Media Lead – Meta & Google | High-Budget Accounts will be responsible for the strategy, management, optimization, and scaling of paid media campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced performance marketer with 10+ years of hands-on experience who has personally managed significant advertising budgets and made key decisions regarding budget allocation, campaign structure, bidding, optimization, testing, and scaling.

The successful candidate will take direct ownership of campaign performance and be responsible for driving profitable growth while maintaining strong control of CAC, CPA, ROAS, revenue, LTV, and overall marketing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and personally manage high-budget Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns.
  • Develop and execute performance marketing strategies across multiple international markets.
  • Take direct ownership of significant advertising budgets and budget allocation decisions.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly media buying strategies based on business objectives and performance data.
  • Scale advertising spend while maintaining efficient acquisition costs and profitability.
  • Manage campaign structure, bidding strategies, targeting, audiences, placements, and optimization.
  • Develop systematic testing strategies for creatives, audiences, offers, landing pages, campaigns, and bidding approaches.
  • Monitor and analyze CAC, CPA, ROAS, conversion rates, revenue, LTV, contribution margin, and other key performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to increase advertising spend while maintaining or improving campaign efficiency.
  • Allocate budgets between Meta, Google, campaigns, markets, products, and acquisition channels based on performance.
  • Manage conversion tracking, attribution, analytics, pixels, events, and measurement frameworks.
  • Diagnose performance issues and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Work closely with creative, analytics, product, sales, and management teams.
  • Provide regular performance reports, forecasts, insights, and recommendations to management.
  • Build and maintain scalable campaign structures capable of handling significant advertising spend.
  • Establish testing and optimization processes to continuously improve campaign performance.
  • Monitor platform changes and identify new opportunities for profitable growth.
  • Take ownership of performance outcomes rather than simply executing tasks assigned by others.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in performance marketing, paid media, or digital advertising.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Meta Ads and Google Ads.
  • Proven experience personally managing and scaling high-spend advertising accounts.
  • Experience personally managing $300,000+ per month in advertising spend is strongly preferred.
  • Experience personally managing $1M+ per month is highly valued.
  • Experience managing several million dollars per month is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience personally making budget allocation, scaling, optimization, and performance decisions.
  • Strong understanding of Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads at an advanced level.
  • Strong knowledge of CAC, CPA, ROAS, LTV, conversion rates, attribution, and profitability.
  • Proven ability to scale advertising spend while maintaining efficient acquisition costs.
  • Strong understanding of conversion tracking, attribution, analytics, pixels, events, and measurement.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing campaigns across multiple countries or international markets is preferred.
  • Strong English communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of performance.
  • Ability to communicate performance data and strategic recommendations clearly to senior management.
Important

We are specifically looking for a senior-level performance marketer who has personally owned and managed significant advertising budgets.

Candidates must be able to clearly demonstrate:

  • The business results achieved.

Experience supporting a media buying team without personally controlling significant advertising budgets is not sufficient for this role.
