About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Purchasing Supervisor to lead our purchasing team, control inventory, enforce SOP, and coordinate cross-functional departments to achieve measurable purchasing results.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for solving Out of Stock and Over Stock issues, improving purchase cost, inventory health, and supply stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the purchasing team, comprising the Senior Purchase Executive and Junior Purchase Coordinator
• Assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to ensure full SOP compliance without the need for constant supervision
• Formulate purchase plans in accordance with sales forecasts, historical sales data, stock levels, and supplier lead times
• Manage supplier performance with respect to pricing, MOQ, lead time, and delivery reliability
• Ensure end-to-end SOP execution, encompassing PR → PO → Supplier Confirmation → Delivery → Receiving
• Conduct analysis of Fast, Slow, and Non-moving items, stock turnover, and inventory value
• Liaise with the Sales department regarding forecasts, promotions, major orders, and new product demand
• Liaise with the Warehouse department regarding stock accuracy, incoming stock, and delivery schedules
• Liaise with the Account department regarding supplier payments, credit terms, and invoice / PO matching
• Evaluate supplier quotations, MOQ, freight, and payment terms to optimise total purchase cost
• Prepare weekly and monthly purchasing, inventory, and supplier KPI reports
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Key Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• 6–10 years of purchasing experience
• At least 2–3 years of supervisory / managerial experience
• Experience in inventory planning and stock management
• Experience in supplier management
• Experience in team management
• Experience in SOP implementation
• Experience in cross-functional coordination
• Familiar with ERP / purchasing systems
• Good Excel and data analysis skills

Additional Requirements

• Experience in the medical device, healthcare, medical supplies, or pharmaceutical distribution industry
• Capable to build and realign procurement systems
• Strategic procurement in planning costing, budgeting & purchase, demand forecasting & stock management control
• Knowledgeable and execution on GDPMD, MDA, ISO 13485, and other relevant standards
• Equipped with supplier qualification systems, supplier audits, supplier evaluation systems
