Job Descriptions

1. Scope of Work

Covers HT/LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, electrical panels, statutory records, preventive maintenance, contractor supervision, emergency response, technical inspections and compliance.

2. Key Responsibilities

a) Operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical installations within the competency authorised by applicable regulations, including HT/LV systems where relevant.

b) Monitor switchboards, consumer rooms, generators, transformers, switchgear, electrical panels, motors, pumps and related systems.

c) Observe electrical readings and conditions including current, voltage, power factor and potential hot spots.

d) Carry out daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly electrical inspection/checklists and preventive maintenance.

e) Maintain electrical logbooks, statutory records, daily work records and job assignment documentation.

f) Attend electrical breakdowns and emergency situations promptly.

g) Supervise electrical works performed by technicians and contractors and ensure works comply with Management and safety requirements.

h) Coordinate scheduled servicing, testing, statutory inspection and maintenance of electrical installations and relevant plant/equipment.

i) Assist the Facility Manager with technical troubleshooting, planning, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

j) Coordinate with electrical contractors, service engineers and relevant statutory authorities on licensing and compliance.

k) Monitor power consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.

l) Support maintenance-store/spare-parts control and approved procurement requirements.

m) Guide and coach technical staff on safe work procedures and electrical matters.

n) Ensure electrical rooms, equipment and installations are maintained safely, securely and in good order.

o) Respond to emergency calls when directed and perform other related duties assigned by the superior.

3. Key Skills & Attributes

a) Strong electrical troubleshooting and safety knowledge.

b) Good statutory record/logbook discipline.

c) Able to supervise technicians and contractors.

d) Responsible, responsive and able to prioritise urgent technical work.

4. Requirements / Qualifications

i. Valid A4 Chargeman competency certificate issued/recognized by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.

ii. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant high-rise building experience preferred. Must possess strong practical M&E troubleshooting capability and should not be limited to electrical matters only.

iii. Must be able to coordinate effectively with technicians, contractors and the Facility Manager.

iv. Available to commence work in December 2026. Immediate hiring.

5. Working Relationship

• Reports directly to the Facility Manager.
• Provides technical guidance to Senior/Building Technicians on electrical matters.
• Coordinates with contractors, service engineers, authorities and relevant site personnel.

General Clause: The employee may be required to perform other duties reasonably related to the position and operational requirements as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
