Are you a fresh engineering graduate looking for an opportunity to gain real-world experience in a power plant environment?


Join our 12-month PROTÉGÉ Programme and get the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, gain exposure to power plant operations and maintenance, and develop practical skills that will help you build your engineering career.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for young, motivated and curious engineering graduates who want to learn and build their careers in the power generation industry.


Eligibility & Requirements


Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Instrumentation & Control Engineering or other relevant engineering fields.
  • Priority will be given to fresh graduate
  • Candidates with not more than 1 year of working experience are also welcome to apply
  • Unemployed or under-employed in areas not relevant to their graduate qualifications
  • Have not previously attended a similar PROTÉGÉ or graduate programme offered by other GLCs / companies
  • Strong interest in the power plant and utility industry
  • Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
  • Able to work well with different teams and professionals
  • Willing to be based at Melaka, Negeri Sembilan or Klang Valley


What Will You Get From The Programme?


This is more than just classroom training. You will have the opportunity to gain practical exposure to the power generation industry and understand how a power plant operates.


Depending on your placement and area of interest, you may gain exposure to:

  • Power plant operations and maintenance
  • Mechanical and electrical systems
  • Instrumentation, control and automation systems
  • Plant control systems and monitoring
  • Plant equipment and auxiliary systems
  • Engineering maintenance and reliability
  • Technical projects and improvement initiatives
  • Plant safety and industrial practices
  • Engineering problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Working alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals


You will also develop important workplace skills including communication, teamwork, project management and problem-solving.
