About The Company

Randstad is exclusively partnering with a globally recognized, premier professional services and advisory network. As part of their strategic global delivery model, they have established a high-performing Centre of Excellence in Malaysia designed to seamlessly support their European operations.

To ensure the operational success of this division, they are seeking a highly capable Audit Coordination Manager. This is a fantastic platform for an experienced audit professional looking to pivot away from heavy, traditional fieldwork and focus purely on global project management and people leadership.

The Role

This is a highly strategic, coordination-focused leadership opportunity. You will manage and empower a dedicated local audit team in Malaysia that directly supports and reports to the onshore leadership team in Luxembourg.

While you will manage a small, select audit portfolio to maintain your technical edge, your primary mandate is operational excellence. You will heavily invest your time in people management, coaching, and cross-border project coordination to ensure the Malaysian team operates smoothly and meets international service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Coordination & Project Management: Act as the primary strategic liaison between the Malaysian team and the Luxembourg onshore leadership. Ensure seamless cross-border workflows, strict adherence to project timelines, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Take full ownership of the local team's day-to-day operational success. Drive heavy people management initiatives, providing hands-on coaching, mentorship, and continuous performance development to build a robust, motivated unit.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage a small, specialized portfolio of audit engagements, utilizing your technical expertise to guide the team through complex audit methodologies and reporting standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Proactively manage resource allocation, identify workflow bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to optimize the efficiency of the local team.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of solid experience in external audit, with proven experience operating at a Managerial level within a reputable firm.
  • Leadership Pedigree: A strong, demonstrated track record in people management and coaching is strictly required. You must possess high emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for developing junior and mid-level talent.
  • Project Management Skills: Exceptional organizational capabilities, with the ability to manage complex timelines, balance resource capacity, and align cross-border stakeholder expectations.
  • Global Mindset: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the cultural agility to partner effectively with European counterparts. Prior experience operating within a global hub, shared services, or cross-border coordination role is a distinct advantage.
  • Qualifications: A recognized Degree in Accounting or Finance, accompanied by a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, MIA).

How to Apply

If you are an experienced audit leader looking to leverage your technical foundation into a highly visible, people-centric, global coordination role, we want to hear from you.
