Responsibilities

What this job involves:

This position is responsible for the tactical and strategic engineering leadership of a portfolio of corporate real estate and colocation data centres across the Asia Pacific region. Located in Singapore, this leadership role ensures technical and contractual quality assurance on behalf of our client, confirming that all properties comply with country, regional, global, and technical standards. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees. In this capacity, you will contribute to day-to-day operational leadership, project identification, execution, sustainability initiatives, and capacity management, acting as a technical subject matter expert. What sets JLL apart is our culture of collaboration, locally and across the globe, and you will bring this spirit to life by interacting daily with clients and account personnel to deliver on service quality and broader strategic objectives.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Provide tactical and strategic engineering leadership for a portfolio of owned and leased corporate real estate buildings and colocation data centres.

  • Oversee major works in APAC, including power down planning, execution, and refurbishment project management.

  • Review maintenance and service practices of M&E contractors to ensure alignment with manufacturer recommendations and technical standards.

  • Apply regulatory compliance management and manage capacity and utilization for office tenancies, server rooms, and data centres.

  • Provide incident management support, including acting as part of the 24/7 on-call escalation path and performing root cause analysis.

  • We embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritize opportunities to strengthen and advance your career by developing and implementing utility, CO2, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Govern as-built drawings, OEM information, and the production of standard and emergency operating procedures (SOPs/EOPs) for APAC.

  • Manage colocation data centre performance, conducting annual due diligence inspections, hosting monthly reviews, and leading regulatory audits.

  • Partner closely with IT services and client stakeholders to align load forecasts with data centre capacity and ensure SLA compliance.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a highly related technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering management experience, including dedicated experience within data centre environments.

  • Proven track record of operating successfully within a senior leadership role.

  • Thorough understanding of data centre building services design and engineering management.

  • Strong technical capability to identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency and sustainability improvements.

  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • We believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and you possess proven capabilities in managing complex relationships.

  • Ability to remain resilient, maintain a high focus on achieving goals, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills to manage complex documentation and operational data.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working within the corporate real estate sector across the Asia Pacific region, specifically within North Asia.

  • Prior experience managing multi-site colocation data centre portfolios and overseeing third-party SLA compliance.

  • Experience implementing comprehensive Sustainability Management Plans, including carbon reduction and waste-tracking programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical training delivery and standardize engineering practices across diverse regional teams.
