About Vicinity Events

Vicinity Events is a Singapore-based events and creative studio that produces corporate events, brand activations, and content for companies that care about how their stories are told. We sit at the intersection of production, AV, and creative — designing experiences that clients keep coming back for.

We are building out the events side of the business and looking for an Event Organiser who wants to own the commercial and delivery side of that growth — from first-conversation to event-day handover.

The Role

You will be the person who wins work and makes it happen.

This is a high-ownership role with a commission structure designed to pay you well for the revenue you bring in. It reports directly to the founder.

What You Will Do

Win the work

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of event opportunities.
  • Qualify leads, run discovery calls, and write proposals that land the deal.
  • Manage pricing, quoting, and negotiation.
  • Develop repeat business.

Run the events

  • End-to-end event planning and execution.
  • Manage clients, suppliers, partners and internal stakeholders.

Keep the business healthy

  • Keep the CRM and project tools clean and up to date — so the team can see what's in flight.
  • Flag capacity and margin risks early.

Who You Are

Must-haves

  • 2–5 years of hands-on event management experience — agency-side, in-house, or both.
  • Calm on event day and structured off it.
  • Clear writer. Proposals, emails, run sheets — all of these need to be sharp.
  • Based in Singapore with the right to work here.

Nice-to-haves

  • A real relationship book — corporate clients, venues, or agency contacts who remember your name.
  • Comfort with content-forward events — live streams, hybrid formats, brand films as part of the experience.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commission (details discussed at interview).
  • 12-month fixed-term contract, with the intent to extend or convert based on performance.
  • Employer CPF contributions on top of base, per statutory rates.
  • 14 days annual leave + statutory medical leave + public holidays.
  • Time off in lieu for Sundays and public holidays worked.

We believe people do their best work when their pay scales with the value they create. The commission structure is uncapped — if you bring in more, you earn more.

Why This Role, Now

This is a foundational hire. You will not be slotting into a big team with fixed processes — you will help shape how Vicinity wins and runs events over the next two years. If you have always wanted more ownership over the commercial outcome of your work, this role is built for that.

You will also have unusually direct access to production, AV, and creative capabilities that most event organisers have to subcontract from scratch. That means better margins on your own deals, and less scrambling to stitch the stack together.

How to Apply

Send the following to *************:

  • A short note (one paragraph is fine) on why this role, and what you would want to tackle first.
  • Your CV or LinkedIn.
  • 2–3 examples of events you have personally run — with scope, rough budget, and what your role actually was.

We will respond to every application. First-round conversations are 30 minutes over coffee or video. If there is mutual interest, we will walk through a real past event of ours and discuss how you would have approached it.

Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
