Job Description

Responsibilities

At TNG Digital, part of TNG Digital Group, we build the tech behind TNG eWallet, one of Malaysia’s most used apps for payments and everyday life. Millions of people rely on us daily, not just to pay, but to manage money, access financial services, and get things done faster and simpler. Behind it all is a team that likes to question how things are done, move quickly, and try new ideas. If you enjoy solving real problems and seeing your work used at scale, you will feel right at home here.

Role Overview:

Our Product Platform team supports, maintains and delivers internal products and systems for an eWallet company in Malaysia. We work with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Platform Security, User Data, Finance and Merchant Settlement teams. Our scope includes financial accounting systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, as well as the systems supporting daily merchant payments and settlement.

This internship is for final-year degree students who want practical experience in back-office Product Management. You will work under the guidance of Product Managers, helping software development teams and business stakeholders test solutions, maintain project documentation and keep delivery activities organised. Your exposure will depend on the projects assigned during your placement.

What You'll Do:

  • Help coordinate product testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) with software development teams and relevant business stakeholders. Arrange sessions, confirm participants and readiness, maintain testing schedules, and follow up on outstanding actions. Work with the Product Manager to clarify what needs to be tested and the expected results.
  • Help prepare test scenarios and test cases, then execute UAT alongside relevant stakeholders in approved test environments. Check both routine workflows and exception scenarios. Record expected and actual results, capture appropriate test evidence, log issues clearly, and coordinate follow-up and retesting. Keep the Product Manager informed of blockers and unresolved defects, and organise results for review by the authorised approvers.
  • Assist with business and technical project documentation, including requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, test records and user guides. Describe business rules and system behaviour clearly, keep documents up to date, and submit drafts for Product Manager review. Maintain project trackers so that owners, actions, dependencies and outstanding questions are easy to follow.
  • When nominated, attend meetings on behalf of a Senior Product Manager who has a scheduling conflict. Share pre-agreed updates, accurately capture discussions and proposed decisions, record action owners and follow-up dates, and provide a timely written recap. Refer questions requiring decisions or commitments back to the responsible Product Manager.

Role Requirements:

  • Final-year bachelor's degree student at a local university, from any discipline, seeking an internship as part of your studies.
  • Interest in how technology supports business operations and want to learn about Product Management in financial services.
  • Keen eye for detail and can spot inconsistencies, missing information and differences between expected and actual outcomes.
  • Write clear, structured English and can explain a process or problem accurately to both technical and non-technical readers.
  • Exposure in university reports, research assignments or project documentation can demonstrate this ability.
  • You are organised, comfortable asking questions, and willing to follow up respectfully with different teams.
  • You can manage agreed deadlines, flag uncertainty early, and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Previous fintech employment, coding skills and experience with specific workplace tools are not required; the tools used by the team can be learned during the placement.

What you will learn:

You will gain practical experience in translating business needs into documented requirements, coordinating and executing UAT, tracking defects, and communicating across business and software development teams. You will also learn how back-office workflows, operational controls and reliable documentation support an eWallet business.

What you get:

Work your way

  • Flexible working hours

Rewards that grow with you

  • Monthly lifestyle allowance via TNG eWallet

What it’s like to work here:

We care about people who take ownership, speak up, and want to make things better. Titles matter less than impact. Good ideas can come from anyone.

You will be working with people who are curious, practical, and not afraid to challenge each other in a good way.

Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
