Aleph (formerly Red Alpha Cybersecurity), in partnership with *************, is launching a new AI Marketer programme designed to bring engineering talent into marketing.

We are looking for engineers who want to move closer to customers and growth, and apply their technical skills to build, deploy and own AI-powered marketing systems.

You don't need a marketing background. The role begins with a structured, full-time 12-week training programme that takes you from marketing fundamentals to running campaigns, positioning technical products and building AI workflows that drive growth.

After training, you'll work across marketing, technology and AI: understanding how marketing works, telling clear stories about technical products, and building systems that automate work and deliver measurable business value.

What You'll Do

Understand Customers & Marketing

• Learn how marketing works across the funnel: audience, positioning, channels, campaigns and conversion
• Map how marketing operates across CRM, lifecycle/email, CMS, analytics, advertising platforms and internal data
• Identify repetitive work, bottlenecks and opportunities where automation or AI can create value
• Turn these opportunities into a practical roadmap with clear business outcomes

Tell the Story of Technical Products

• Translate complex technical and AI capabilities into clear messaging that buyers understand
• Create technical content, demos and campaigns for developer and business audiences
• Run experiments across channels and use data to decide what to scale

Build AI & Automation Systems

• Build workflows that connect marketing platforms through APIs, webhooks and scheduled jobs
• Use SQL and Python to clean, transform and move marketing data reliably
• Build AI-powered workflows using LLMs, RAG, tool calling and agentic workflows for research, content, personalisation and reporting
• Add appropriate human review, approval gates and safeguards where needed

Make Systems Reliable

• Test and evaluate AI systems using real-world examples and clear quality criteria
• Add monitoring, logging, error handling, retries and fallbacks
• Deploy, document and hand over systems that marketing teams can confidently use

Work With the Business

• Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to understand problems and define success
• Explain what you've built in business terms and demonstrate its impact
• Own projects from idea → build → deployment → results

What We're Looking For

• Good if you have some relevant experience in software, data, cloud, AI, QA or solutions engineering, or a related technical role
• No marketing experience required. We'll teach you the marketing through structured training and real campaigns
• Comfortable with code (e.g. Python, JavaScript or SQL), APIs and working with data
• Strong problem-solving skills: you can break messy problems into steps, test assumptions and persist through debugging
• Curious about customers and why products win, not just how they're built
• Strong communication and ownership: you can explain technical ideas simply, work with non-technical stakeholders and take a project from idea to something people depend on

We care more about your technical foundation, curiosity about the market and ability to learn than your marketing background.

Nice to Have

Any of the following is a plus, but not required:

• Experience building or shipping AI or LLM-powered applications
• Technical writing, blogging, open-source contributions or speaking at meetups
• Customer-facing experience, e.g. pre-sales, solutions engineering, developer support or product demos
• Exposure to CRM, marketing automation, CMS, analytics or advertising platforms
• Zapier, Make, n8n or other automation tools
• Personal side projects you've launched and tried to grow

Your First 12 Weeks

You'll go through a structured, build-first programme across Aleph and *************

Weeks 1–4: Marketing Foundations

• Customers and buyer journeys, positioning and messaging, the marketing funnel, channels, campaigns, CRM and lifecycle marketing, and marketing analytics

Weeks 5–7: AI & Marketing Systems

• Technical storytelling and content, the modern marketing stack, LLM applications for marketing, RAG, evaluation, and how to spot high-value automation opportunities

Weeks 8–10: Build & Deploy

• AI-powered campaigns and workflows, marketing automation engineering, production reliability and deployment

Weeks 11–12: Real-World Deployment

• Identify a high-value marketing problem, build a solution, deploy it, measure the results and hand it over to the business

What Success Looks Like

By Week 5: You can explain how a marketing team works, map a customer funnel, write clear positioning for a technical product and run a simple campaign

By Week 12: You have deployed a working AI or automation system that creates measurable value for a real marketing organisation

Beyond the programme: You own a growing portfolio of campaigns, marketing automations and AI workflows, and the roadmap for what to build next
