Focuses on the hands-on creation and execution of photography, videography, and social media content across various platforms. The candidate brings strong technical skills behind the camera and in post-production, with a creative eye for storytelling and a genuine passion for crafting content that connects with our audience. You will own your work independently — operating with minimal supervision while staying true to Alchemist’s brand and creative direction.

What You Will Do

Photography & Videography

Plan and execute photography and videography shoots for product, lifestyle, and store content across social media, e-commerce, and campaigns — independently and with minimal supervision

Ensure all visual output is consistently aligned to Alchemist’s brand standards and creative direction at every stage — from shoot setup through to final delivery

Assist in pre-production planning, shoot preparation, and post-production asset organisation

Operate confidently as the lead shooter when required, without needing close oversight

Post-Production, Asset Management & Social Media

Edit and retouch all visual assets using Adobe software to meet brand and platform requirements — working independently to deliver to deadlines

Take full ownership of social media content — including content calendar management, scheduling, publishing, and community engagement across all platforms

Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and audience behaviour — proactively identifying opportunities to improve content performance and engagement

Track basic performance metrics, review what is and isn’t working, and bring recommendations for improvement

Organise and maintain the asset library to ensure all materials are accessible, properly labelled, and up to date

Creative Campaign Support

Support the Creative Lead or Creative Director on assigned campaigns and projects — contributing as a reliable creative executor

Work alongside the creative team to ensure campaigns and projects run smoothly — meeting briefs, timelines, and quality standards

Contribute ideas and creative input during brainstorming and ideation sessions

Take direction well, flag issues early, and communicate proactively to keep projects on track

You Are

Equipped with 1 to 3 years of experience in social media content creation, photography, or videography — a strong portfolio will be considered in place of experience

A visual storyteller with a genuine eye for composition, light, and detail

Technically proficient in photography and videography — comfortable leading shoots independently

Proficient in Adobe software including Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop

Familiar with social media platforms, content formats, and current trends

Organised, self-driven, and able to manage multiple responsibilities without close supervision

A collaborative team player who communicates openly and takes ownership of their work

Passionate about food, beverage, and lifestyle content — experience in F&B or café photography is a strong advantage

Alchemist started out in May 2016, serving coffee to the community around International Plaza.

As a small hole-in-the-wall coffee joint located within the bustling Central Business District, the first step began with a commitment to the delivery of great coffee in a simple and no-frills approach. These later became our founding values that we as a small local business take pride in.

In 2019, we took a big leap of faith and launched our flagship store at Khong Guan Building. A sanctuary within a heritage building where you can enjoy a fresh brew of coffee, in full view of our roastery in action.

Over the last few years, we stayed committed to the delivery of simple and no-frills coffee experience in each and every one of our coffee bar. We now have 6 outlets in total, including Hong Leong Building, Design Orchard, The Mill and CIMB Plaza.
