Responsibilities
- Conduct site risk assessments and identify potential hazards associated with construction activities, including high-risk work and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Communicate identified hazards, safety requirements and preventive measures to site personnel, subcontractors and work crews.
- Implement and enforce Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) policies, procedures, rules and regulations across project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe work practices and potential risks and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
- Monitor daily site activities, including high-risk operations, to ensure compliance with established safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Ensure project operations comply with applicable occupational safety and health legislation, regulatory requirements and relevant management system standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Prepare, maintain and submit safety reports, inspection records, incident reports, risk assessments and other relevant safety documentation.
- Plan and conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings and site inductions to promote safety awareness and reinforce safe work practices among workers.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, identify root causes and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure workers adhere to site safety requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and relevant personnel to address safety concerns and ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow up on safety non-compliances and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
