We’re looking for a senior product engineer with depth across backend and frontend. You’ll own features from defining the problem through Elixir/Phoenix services and React/TypeScript interfaces to rollout and production health.

What you’ll do

• Own outcomes: Work with product and design to define the right solution, deliver across the stack and verify its impact after launch.
• Raise engineering quality: Write well-tested, maintainable code; review others’ work, including AI-generated code; and shape architecture and standards.
• Build shared foundations: Improve patterns, components, CI/CD, performance and observability so the whole team works more effectively.
• Multiply your impact: Mentor engineers, explain technical trade-offs clearly and use coding agents, agentic prompting and MCP tooling deliberately.
• Own the User Problem: Operate as a product engineer — understand the user problem and business rationale behind features, use data to validate that what shipped actually works, and propose the right scope rather than executing the requested scope blindly.
• Use AI Deliberately: Accelerate good work with coding agents, agentic prompting, and MCP-based tooling — applied to backend and frontend alike. Recognise and manage the risk in your own work and in what you review.

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years building and owning production web applications across backend and frontend.
• Backend Depth: Strong functional backgrounds experience (commercial or substantial open-source), considered if Elixir adoption is realistic for you. Solid understanding of distributed systems or event-driven architectures, relational databases (PostgreSQL ideal), and operational concerns (CI/CD, observability, performance).
• Frontend Depth: Strong React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and solid CSS fundamentals. Comfortable with state management, performance tuning, accessibility, and testing strategy in data-dense interfaces.
• Experience with complex, data-intensive enterprise applications, distributed or event-driven systems, relational databases and production operations.
• Sound product judgement and ownership: navigate ambiguity, challenge scope, raise risks and follow through.
• AI-Fluent Delivery: Practical experience using coding agents, agentic prompting, and MCP-style tooling across backend and frontend. You can articulate where AI accelerates you, where it misleads you, and how you validate its output.

Useful extras: Logistics or integration-heavy systems, real-time interfaces, data visualisation, design systems, open-source contributions or experience establishing patterns in a scaling team.
