Job Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain electrical installations and equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
• Ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, distribution boards and related equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical installations.
• Monitor electrical system performance and report abnormalities or potential equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and coordinate corrective maintenance when required.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, statutory requirements and site operating standards.
• Maintain electrical logbooks, inspection records and maintenance reports.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and supervise contractors where required.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and take appropriate action within the scope of competency and authorisation.
• Perform other electrical and facilities maintenance duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) Chargeman competency certificate appropriate to the assigned installation.
• Relevant experience in electrical operations and maintenance is required.
• Experience in high-voltage electrical systems and facilities management is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Responsible, safety-conscious and able to work independently.
• Willing to be on standby - weekends and public holidays when required.
