Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Virtualization Engineer to provide Level 3 support and engineering for enterprise cloud and virtualized infrastructure.

The role will focus strongly on Microsoft Azure, infrastructure automation and virtualization technologies. You will be responsible for supporting and improving complex infrastructure environments, resolving Level 3 technical issues, implementing automation, and ensuring platform stability and availability.

The environment currently includes Citrix technologies, with an increasing focus on Azure and cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 technical support for cloud and virtualized infrastructure environments.
• Manage, support and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible, PowerShell and related automation tools.
• Support and maintain Citrix virtualized environments, including Citrix Cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and perform technical debugging and root cause analysis.
• Implement infrastructure upgrades, configuration changes and platform improvements.
• Monitor infrastructure health and perform scheduled and emergency patching.
• Support virtualization technologies including Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, XenServer and VMware.
• Manage Citrix components such as Provisioning Services, ADC/NetScaler and StoreFront.
• Support Windows Server infrastructure, authentication, policies and related enterprise services.
• Automate operational and administrative activities to improve efficiency and platform reliability.
• Support software packaging and deployment activities.
• Manage SSL certificates and related infrastructure components.
• Work with technology vendors and internal technical teams to resolve complex incidents and service issues.
• Participate in continuous service improvement and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge articles.

Requirements

• More than 6 years of IT infrastructure experience, with strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Good experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
• Hands-on experience supporting Citrix virtualized environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience providing Level 3 infrastructure support and resolving complex technical issues.
• Good knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and XenServer.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, patching, troubleshooting and service stability.
• Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Experience working in a large-scale or globally distributed enterprise environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
