Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cable Technician role based in Singapore. The Cable Technician will install, terminate, and test network and structured cabling for office environments, including data, voice, and CCTV systems. Responsibilities include routing and securing cables, using appropriate hand tools and equipment, and assisting with electrical cabling under proper guidance. The role involves reading basic layout plans, supporting network device deployment, and collaborating with the team to ensure safe, neat, and standards-compliant installations. The Cable Technician will also perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep infrastructure operating reliably.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with cables and cabling, including installing, terminating, labeling, and testing various cable types.
• Knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices for data, voice, and security systems.
• Basic understanding of electricity and safe work practices when handling electrical cabling.
• Ability to use hand tools relevant to cabling and electrical work, such as crimpers, testers, drills, and cutters.
• Experience in network infrastructure, CCTV, or access control installations is an advantage.
• Ability to read simple floor plans or schematics and follow installation instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work in a physically active, on-site environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
• Relevant technical certification or vocational training in cabling, electrical, or IT infrastructure is beneficial.
