Our client is an established Bank with a strong APAC focus, looking to bring onboard an experienced legal counsel to join the team.

about the job

• Provide timely, practical, and commercially sound legal advice on a broad range of banking products, services, and operational matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate various loan documentation, commercial agreements, client documentation, vendor contracts, and other legal instruments
• Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities, new initiatives, and transactions, proposing effective mitigation strategies
• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal legal policies, procedures, and training programs
• Liaise and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders and external counsels where necessary
• Report and escalate potential legal risk issues to senior management

skills and experience required

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
• Qualified banking and finance lawyer with minimum 5 years PQE. Experience gained either within the legal department of a bank or financial institution, or from a reputable law firm specializing in banking and finance
• Strong analytical, drafting, and legal research skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice
