Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, testing and diagnosis of heavy vehicles, including lorries, trucks and tankers.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing of vehicles.
Carry out repair and maintenance work in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, technical specifications and company procedures.
Identify vehicle faults and recommend appropriate repair or maintenance solutions.
Ensure completed repair and maintenance work meets required safety, quality and operational standards.
Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices within the workshop and work areas.
Identify opportunities to improve vehicle maintenance processes and workshop practices.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence.
Forklift licence/certification would be an advantage where relevant to the role.
Basic proficiency in English to understand work instructions, maintenance documentation and communicate with relevant personnel.
1–2 years of relevant experience in automotive servicing, vehicle maintenance or repair.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn new technical skills and procedures.
Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and complete work in accordance with established requirements.
Ability to identify maintenance issues and recommend practical improvements.
Comfortable working in outdoor or on-site environments where required by operational needs.
