Job Purpose:
To manage and supervise the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring repair and maintenance jobs are completed safely, efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Operations
- Manage and oversee the daily activities of the workshop.
- Plan and allocate repair, servicing and maintenance jobs to technicians.
- Monitor all ongoing workshop jobs and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure workshop operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise and coordinate workshop technicians.
- Assign jobs according to technicians' skills and workload.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, work quality and discipline.
- Provide guidance and technical support to technicians when required.
- Conduct regular workshop briefings.
- Oversee inspection, troubleshooting, repair and servicing of Sideloaders.
- Ensure repair work is carried out according to proper procedures and quality standards.
- Check completed work before Sideloaders are released.
- Monitor recurring breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out according to schedule.
- Workshop Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure the workshop is clean, organised and safe.
- Ensure technicians follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Monitor the condition and safe use of workshop tools and equipment.
- Ensure overhead cranes, forklifts and other workshop equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
- Report safety hazards and workshop issues to management.
- Coordinate with Store/Purchasing for required spare parts and materials.
- Monitor usage of spare parts and workshop consumables.
- Ensure tools and equipment are available and properly maintained.
- Report shortages or damaged tools/equipment to management.
- Job Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure workshop job cards, service reports and repair records are properly completed.
- Monitor pending and completed jobs.
- Prepare regular workshop status reports for management.
- Report major breakdowns, delays, technical problems and additional repair requir
- Coordinate with the Service/Customer Service team regarding customer repair requirements.
- Support technicians in urgent breakdown or field service situations.
- Ensure customer Sideloaders are ready for delivery or return within the agreed timeline.
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
