Responsibilities
Role Summary: The Platform Engineering Intern will work with the Platform team to research, evaluate, and implement cloud-native and DevOps technologies. The intern will gain hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, automation, and internal platform tooling. A key focus of the role is researching new technologies, building proof-of-concepts, documenting findings, and taking ownership of assigned platform initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Research and evaluate cloud-native technologies, DevOps tools, and platform engineering solutions
Build POCs to validate new technologies
Assist in developing and maintaining internal platform tools
Support Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability platforms
Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency
Produce technical documentation and implementation guides
Present research findings and recommendations to the Platform team
Participate in platform improvement initiatives and technical discussions
Qualifications
Mandatory
Currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Basic understanding of Linux and networking concepts
Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana
Personal GitHub projects, technical blog, or open-source contributions
Soft Skills
Curious and eager to learn new technologies
Enjoys researching and experimenting with new tools
Takes ownership of assigned tasks
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team
Strong documentation and presentation skills
