About the role

WE ART is looking for a creative, dependable art teacher to join our weekend team. You’ll teach children, teens and adults in a beautiful studio, helping beginners build confidence and more experienced students develop their skills.

This role suits someone who can commit to regular Saturday and/or Sunday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Teach drawing, painting, mixed media and crafts.
• Prepare lessons, materials and the teaching space before sessions.
• Demonstrate techniques and adapt guidance to each student’s ability.
• Manage classes confidently and keep students engaged.
• Facilitate birthday parties and art workshops, including setup and coordination.
• Communicate clearly with parents, students and fellow teachers.
• Track student progress and keep the studio tidy and organised.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Design or a related field, or a strong relevant portfolio.
• At least one year of art teaching or workshop experience preferred.
• Strong drawing and painting skills.
• Comfortable teaching children and guiding groups.
• Clear English communication skills.
• Proactive and able to run assigned sessions independently.
• Able to commit consistently to agreed weekend shifts.

Experience with portfolio preparation, IGCSE, IB, printmaking or other specialist techniques is an advantage.

Working arrangements

Job type: Part-time
Schedule: Saturdays and/or Sundays, with regular agreed shifts
Location: In person at The Centrepoint, Orchard Road
Pay: Based on experience and teaching responsibilities

Training in WE ART’s workshop programmes will be provided.
