Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and maintain the enterprise cybersecurity architecture roadmap.
Define cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and design principles.
Advise executive leadership on cybersecurity risks, emerging threats, and security investments.
Align security architecture with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Security Architecture & Design
Lead the design and implementation of secure enterprise architectures across: Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)Network and infrastructureApplications and software developmentData platformsIdentity and access management
Drive Zero Trust architecture initiatives.
Approve security designs for major technology projects and transformations.
Risk Management & Governance
Conduct architecture risk assessments and security reviews.
Establish security controls and reference architectures.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards such as: ISO 27001NIST Cybersecurity FrameworkCIS ControlsSOC 2GDPR / PDPA
Security Innovation
Evaluate emerging technologies and cybersecurity solutions.
Lead adoption of AI-driven security, threat intelligence, and automation capabilities.
Identify opportunities to strengthen cyber resilience and security posture.
Stakeholder Management
Partner with CIO, CTO, CISO, engineering, infrastructure, and business teams.
Influence technology investment decisions and security strategy.
Present architecture recommendations to senior executives and governance committees.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor cybersecurity architects and security engineering teams.
Establish architecture review boards and governance processes.
Develop cybersecurity architecture capabilities and talent pipelines.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience
15+ years of IT and cybersecurity experience.
8+ years in security architecture leadership roles.
Proven experience designing enterprise-scale security architectures.
Strong knowledge of cloud security and hybrid environments.
Certifications (Preferred)
CISSP
SABSA
TOGAF
CCSP
CISM
AWS/Azure Security Certifications
