Role Description

Analyze and improve supply chain networks to strengthen service, efficiency, and resilience. Use data, modeling, and scenario analysis to guide decisions on facility locations, inventory, transportation, sourcing, and capacity while balancing cost, risk, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain flows, costs, capacity, lead times, and service performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Gather, validate, and maintain data on suppliers, facilities, transportation lanes, inventory, and demand.
• Develop models to evaluate network configurations, facility locations, sourcing options, and distribution strategies.
• Assess supply chain risks, including supplier dependencies, capacity constraints, geographic concentration, and transportation disruptions.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to compare options under changing demand, costs, and operating conditions.
• Recommend improvements to inventory positioning, transportation flows, capacity allocation, and service coverage.
• Evaluate trade-offs between operating costs, investment, service levels, resilience, and environmental impact.
• Develop business cases that explain assumptions, expected benefits, implementation costs, and risks.
• Partner with procurement, logistics, operations, finance, and commercial teams to validate recommendations.
• Support implementation planning and monitor results against expected benefits.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
• Improve analytical methods, modeling tools, and data quality.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in supply chain analytics, network design, risk analysis, operations research, or optimization.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of supply chain planning, logistics, inventory management, and transportation networks.
• Experience developing analytical models and evaluating business scenarios.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or equivalent analytical tools.
• Ability to validate data, document assumptions, and explain model limitations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex analysis into practical recommendations.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and manage project deadlines.
• A degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations research, mathematics, business analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with supply chain network modeling, optimization, simulation, or geographic information systems.
• Familiarity with mathematical optimization techniques, including linear and mixed-integer programming.
• Experience assessing supplier, location, and transportation risks and developing mitigation options.
• Exposure to ERP, planning systems, and business intelligence platforms.
• Experience supporting network changes, facility transitions, or supply chain resilience initiatives.
