Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Partnerships Manager to join our Strategic Partnerships team in Singapore. You will play a critical role in helping Wise accelerate growth across APAC by building and scaling partnerships that connect us with customers who have international money needs.

APAC is one of Wise's fastest-growing regions and a key growth opportunity. Across international students, travellers, expats and other globally-minded communities, we see significant potential to reach more customers through strategic partnerships.

This is a new role within a global team with high autonomy to own the end to end regional strategy. Working closely with regional growth teams, you will identify, negotiate and launch partnerships across APAC, adapting global opportunities to local markets and turning them into measurable growth.

The goal will be to use your commercial talents to unlock new groups of customers who have a need for Wise, but didn't know enough about us to use us before.

This is not a Wise Platform role -

Your main goal is to accelerate personal adoption of Wise in APAC markets.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Define and execute the APAC partnership strategy across consumer partnerships, focused on helping internationally-minded customers discover and use Wise.

Own, optimise and grow partnership verticals with full autonomy in collaboration with the global team

Identify and prioritise high-intent customer segments with recurring international money needs, including international students, working holiday travellers, group travel communities, relocation and migration customers

Build market-level partnership plans that align with regional growth priorities and business objectives

Forecast partnership impact and prioritise opportunities based on customer acquisition, volume and long-term value

Sourcing & Negotiation & Execution

Prospect, qualify and develop relationships with potential partners across Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and broader APAC markets

Own the full partnership lifecycle from outreach and discovery through to negotiation, contracting, launch and optimisation

Structure commercial agreements that create value for both Wise and our partners

Build scalable partnership frameworks that can be replicated across markets and partner categories.

Go-To-Market & Execution

Oversee the end-to-end launch of partnership campaigns, working closely with brand, regional growth, legal and product teams to ensure smooth delivery

Performance & Optimisation

Define and track key performance indicators for each partnership, including metrics across the funnel that drive measurable growth

Use data to identify performance trends, opportunities and challenges, turning insights into actions that improve results.

Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with existing partners, identifying opportunities for expansion, renewal, and increased investment based on proven results

Regional Collaboration

Act as the local partnerships expert within APAC

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across regional marketing, growth, product and strategy teams

Share market insights and partnership learnings that help shape future regional and global initiatives

Who we are

Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move money around the world. With the Wise account people and businesses can hold over 40 currencies, move money between countries and spend money abroad. Large companies and banks use Wise technology too; an entirely new cross-border payments network that will one day power money without borders for everyone, everywhere. However you use the platform, Wise is on a mission to make your life easier and save you money.

Co-founded by Kristo Käärmann and Taavet Hinrikus, Wise launched in 2011 under its original name TransferWise. It is one of the world’s fastest growing, profitable technology companies and is listed on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker, WISE.

16 million people and businesses use Wise. In fiscal year 2023, Wise processed approximately £105 billion in cross-border transactions, saving customers around £1.5 billion.

What it’s really like to work here

At Wise, we do things a bit differently. There’s no corporate nonsense, and no old-fashioned hierarchy. Instead, we work in dozens of self-sufficient, autonomous teams. Think of them like start-ups within a start-up that learn from each other.

Each team picks the problems they want to solve. So there’s no micro-management. No hiding behind fancy job titles. And no one telling you what to do. You are your own boss. But you’ll get tons of guidance and plenty of support from talented, super-smart colleagues from all over Wise.

We’re going to be upfront — the way we work doesn’t suit everyone. But if freedom, autonomy, and life-affirming, head-scratching professional challenges rock your world, we could be a match made in heaven.
