About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Subsea Engineer to support offshore Transportation & Installation (T&I) projects and tenders by delivering subsea engineering analyses and technical solutions for pipeline, riser, umbilical, cable, and subsea structure installation activities. The role offers excellent exposure to offshore engineering, marine operations, and subsea construction projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and project teams to support engineering studies, offshore campaigns, and project execution activities while developing technical expertise in subsea installation engineering.

Key Responsibilities
Subsea & Installation Engineering
- Perform engineering analyses for offshore transportation and installation activities.
- Support pipeline installation analyses including start-up, normal lay, laydown, mid-point tie-in, abandonment & recovery (A&R), sidewalk, and fatigue assessments.
- Support flexible, umbilical and cable installation analyses including start-up, pull-in and tie-in activities.
- Perform subsea structure deployment, recovery, spool and jumper installation analyses.
- Carry out engineering calculations including ballast calculations, stinger profile assessments, buoyancy checks and installation-related analyses.
Technical Studies & Reporting
- Prepare engineering reports, technical notes, calculations, and analysis summaries.
- Conduct static and dynamic installation analyses using industry-recognised engineering software.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project requirements, client specifications, and applicable industry standards.
Offshore Project Support
- Participate in offshore assignments and vessel campaigns when required.
- Support offshore installation and construction activities.
- Assist senior engineers during offshore operations and project execution.
- Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
Engineering Development
- Support T&I projects and tender activities with engineering deliverables.
- Develop familiarity with offshore assets and transportation & installation methodologies.
- Participate in technical training and development programmes to enhance engineering capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in Transportation & Installation (T&I) Engineering.
- Exposure to offshore installation, subsea engineering, marine operations, or EPCIC projects will be an advantage.
