Responsibilities
About the Role:
We are looking for a Jig & Fixture Engineer to design, develop, and validate jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
The role focuses on improving accuracy, repeatability, safety, efficiency, and product quality through effective fixture and tooling solutions. You will work closely with Welding, Fabrication, Production, and Design teams to develop practical and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling for production.
- Validate and improve fixture designs through trials and testing.
- Provide technical support during production and pilot builds.
- Modify existing fixtures to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure fixture compatibility with welding and assembly processes.
- Prepare and maintain drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support continuous improvement and cost-effective manufacturing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and engineering requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in jig, fixture, or tooling design, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturability.
- Experience with welding fixtures, machining fixtures, or assembly jigs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
