Job Overview
We are looking for an energetic, organised, and people-oriented Wellness Centre Operations & Community Manager to help build and manage a modern community wellness centre in Alor Setar.
The centre brings together professionals across beauty, wellness, women’s wellbeing, education, and lifestyle services, including beauticians, yoga instructors, wellbeing professionals, music teachers, and other complementary service providers.
This is a hands-on management role combining Operations, Customer Experience, Community Management, and Business Development. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, managing practitioners, increasing room utilisation, growing the community, and supporting the centre’s commercial growth.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, customer service, administration, beauty, wellness, education, hospitality, clinic administration, or a related field.
Experience in beauty/spa, wellness, fitness, education centres, clinics, hospitality, coworking, property management, events, sales, or customer relationship management is an advantage.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Comfortable managing customer communication through WhatsApp.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Comfortable using Facebook and Instagram.
Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
Proactive, responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfortable communicating with customers, practitioners, and business partners.
Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin is an advantage.
Willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends when required.

Candidates with strong beauty, wellness operations, business development, or sales experience may be considered at the upper end of the salary range.
Career Growth
As the centre grows, the successful candidate may have opportunities to progress into roles such as:
Senior Centre Manager → Centre Operations Lead → Multi-Location / Business Operations Manager
Salary: RM2,500 – RM3,200 per month + Performance Incentives
Working Days: 5–6 days per week
Working Hours: Flexible, including some evenings and weekends depending on centre activities
Responsibilities
Centre Operations
Manage the day-to-day operations of the wellness centre.
Ensure rooms and common areas are clean, organised, and ready for use.
Coordinate cleaning, maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
Manage centre access and opening/closing procedures.
Resolve operational issues promptly.
Maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
Practitioner & Tenant Management
Communicate and coordinate with practitioners, instructors, and service providers.
Assist with practitioner onboarding and centre orientation.
Maintain practitioner agreements and relevant documentation.
Coordinate room usage and practitioner requirements.
Build and maintain good relationships with practitioners.
Handle operational concerns and monitor practitioner satisfaction.
Room Scheduling & Utilisation
Manage schedules and bookings for all 8 rooms.
Coordinate appointments, classes, workshops, and events.
Prevent double bookings and scheduling conflicts.
Monitor available and unused time slots.
Actively improve room occupancy and utilisation.
Customer Service
Manage customer enquiries through WhatsApp, Facebook, and other approved channels.
Handle bookings, cancellations, and appointment reminders.
Follow up with potential customers.
Maintain customer records appropriately.
Handle general complaints and escalate professional matters to the relevant practitioner.
Social Media & Marketing
Manage the centre’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Prepare and schedule regular posts and stories.
Promote practitioners, classes, workshops, and centre activities.
Coordinate suitable photos and videos for social media content.
Respond to online comments and enquiries.
Support promotional campaigns and community-building activities.
Financial & Rental Administration
Track monthly room rental and commission payments.
Issue invoices and receipts when required.
Monitor outstanding payments.
Maintain basic income and expense records.
Prepare monthly financial summaries.
Track utilities, supplies, and operating expenses.
Coordinate with the owner and accountant when required.
Business Development & Practitioner Recruitment
Identify and approach suitable new practitioners and tenants.
Arrange centre visits for potential practitioners.
Explain rental and collaboration opportunities.
Follow up with potential practitioners and business leads.
Help fill unused rooms and available time slots.
Develop partnerships with local wellness and lifestyle professionals.
Community & Event Development
Plan and coordinate community activities such as wellness talks, yoga trial sessions, beauty workshops, mental wellbeing programmes, parenting or music activities, healthy ageing workshops, and open days.
Develop activities that encourage customer engagement and repeat visits.
Help establish the centre as an active wellness community in Alor Setar.
